My Speaker Sessions

Friday 08 December 2023

10:15

Left of bang or right of bang? Risk, adaptation, and resilience in a post covid world.

10:15 - 10:50

Getting ‘left of bang’ means getting ahead of a risk or an opportunity, understanding it, and then taking appropriate actions to mitigate or capitalise on it… but getting left of bang is difficult, because it also involves thinking about things in unconventional ways and taking atypical actions. In this session, Karl Limbert, Director of Strategy for EQUANS UK&I, looks at the key strategic issues, including climate risk, technological change, and the future of work, and draws on insights from diverse disciplines including military tactics,  popular music, and economics to find answers.
