Speaker : Danielle Gillespie
Danielle leads Homes England’s activities across the North of England working in partnership with Civic Leaders and Industry Partners to help build more homes, improve affordability and create a more resilient and diverse housing market. Often at the forefront of shaping and then implementing major interventions/ new initiatives, Danielle’s career highlights include leading the roll out of the 2015-18 Affordable Homes Programme across the North West which delivered over 7,600 homes and establishing the 17,000 home Lancashire City Deal which she continues to co-chair.
With 15 years in the housing sector, she has previously worked in private consultancy, for a national Housing Association and with a Market Renewal Pathfinder. Danielle holds a first class honours degree in Economics and an MBA in Urban Regeneration from the University of Liverpool and is equally comfortable with big picture strategy or the fine grain of development appraisal. Her real passion though is supporting delivery on the ground; but in a more joined-up way which fully exploits the interplay between housing, transport, economy and the social benefits that can be realised for communities.
